A library referral answers the research needs of users who want to utilize services of other libraries. It also provide answers to questions regarding other libraries, their respective services and resources.

This reference service became prominent when the University of the Philippines Mindanao (UPMin) signed-in as a member of the Davao Colleges and Universities' Network (DACUN) on June 10, 2004. There are ten (10) DACUN member-institutions from which users may avail of library services.

UPMin library users of who would like to avail of a library referral may request it from the Administrative Services Division at least one (1) day prior to their desired visit.

The schedule for obtaining referral services is as follows:
